In the 30th SPREP meeting held in September this year, the meeting supported the scaling up of environment data management in the Pacific and directed the Secretariat to initiate a process for developing a full-sized project proposal to support the scaling up environmental data management work in the region.
Later in October, the Inform Project participating countries collectively agree on the need to scale up and extend the Inform Project services beyond 2022.

SPREP wishes to call for tenders from qualified and experienced consultants who can offer their services develop Climate Change Functionality on Federated States of Micronesia’s INFORM Portal and to be completed by 30 June 2023.
This is a project that will merge both climate change portal and inform portal into one. This project is awarded to eightyoptions based in Samoa. Project Manager for PACRES is Semi Qamese.
KOLONIA, Pohnpei – On June 17-18, 2019, the FSM Department of Environment, Climate Change, and Emergency Management (DECEM) had a two-day training in Pohnpei State regarding the Inform & iCLIM Data Portals Projects and the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) National Implementation Plan (NIP) Project. DECEM representatives conducted the Pohnpei State trainings are Mr. Snyther Biza, GIS and Data Officer; Mr. Skiis Dewey, IT Officer, and Ms. Caroline Werthog, POPs NIP Project Coordinator.
