State of the Environment Report 2018 & on-going data portal trainings in FSM

The Federated States of Micronesia’s State of Environment Report 2018 is now published and ready for its official launch. The SOE presents concise information on the state of environment for FSM with the approval of the FSM national government through the leadership of the Department of Environment, Climate and Emergency Management (DECEM).

The report is divided into 7 thematic areas, namely; atmosphere and climate, water, land, marine, biodiversity, built environment and culture and heritage, updating the last report completed in 1993.

FSM's SOE is now accessible through the FSM Environment Data Portal.

This year kicked off with another environment data portal training in the College of Micronesia, facilitated by FSM’s Data Portal site manager, Mr. Snyther Biza. The training is the continuation of the many capacity building and portal awareness initiatives facilitated in-country by DECEM since the portal introduction in 2019.
