Contributions contained in this publication will stimulate awareness about the interlinkages between biodiversity and climate change. These interlinkages run both ways.
This plan provides both an overview of the current risk and vulnerability context in Yap State, as well as the strengths that Yap has, including its strong traditional culture and rich natural resources. It then further provides its developed actions across the 7 Priority Areas, which represent the main elements of their livelihoods they wished to sustain and strengthen in the years to come.
This plan provides Kosrae’s current risk and vulnerability context, including it rich natural resources, and the specific actions identified for its six key sectors, which places Kosrae in good stead for a future that protects its people’s livelihood and environment. With specific actions identified for the 6 Priority Areas, and with pre-identified leading and supporting agencies, this JSAP supplements Kosrae’s Strategic Development Plan (SDP), and is a step towards risk-proofing its future.
