In 2018, the Federated State of Micronesia through the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management (DECEM) with the support of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program (SPREP) assisted in the formulation of the Federated States of Micronesia National Environment Management Strategy (NEMS) 2019–2023.
The FSM NEMS was developed based on data and information in the FSM State of Environment report, formed
as a prerequisite of the NEMS.
The KSDP is a four-year, high-level, document that articulates Kosrae government priorities and development sector vision along with specific targets for focusing workforce efforts and allocating resources. The aims of the KSDP include the following:
• Provide government and sector officials and leaders with long-term guidance for decision-making

The Digital Atlas of Micronesia is the foremost source of maps and geospatial information for the Federated States of Micronesia. Under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) - member countries are implementing the PoWPA. This is FSM's Action Plan for PoWPA and Target 11. Target 11 is a contribution towards ensuring that ecosystems, species and genetic diversity are safeguarded in both the land and seascape by ensuring that key habitats are protected and that species migration and movement can occur. Protected areas are a cornerstone of 5 conservation actions and as such are one of the main tools at a country’s disposal to reduce habitat loss.

This dataset contains the FSM ‘Nationwide Climate Change Policy 2009’, which was endorsed on December 1st, 2009, and the FSM ‘Nation Wide Integrated Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Policy 2013’, which was endorsed on June 2013. The Integrated 2013 Policy supersedes the 2009 Climate Change Policy.
This report presents the findings following research and a three-week field assessment (April 2009) of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) in response to nation-wide marine inundation by extreme tides (December 2007, September 2008, and December 2008). This study was conducted at the request of the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service and the state and federal government of FSM, and was compiled and published in 2010, by Charles H.
