Implementing a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) & Lesson Learned In Pohnpei, FSM The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Ridge to Reef (R2R) project would like to acknowledge its Executing Agency, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management (DECEM), along with state R2R focal points and staff, steering committee members, local government agencies and NGO partners for their ongoing support. This lessons learned publication was authored by Dr. Chiara Franco, FSM R2R Chief Technical Adviser, Ms. Rosalinda Yatilman, FSM R2R Project Manager, and Ms. Rachael Nash, FSM R2R Technical Coordinator, with guidance and contributons from Dr. Fononga Vainga Mangisi-Mafileo, Communicatons and Knowledge Management Adviser for the GEF/UNDP/SPC Pacific R2R Programme, and Ms. Seema Deo, Writing/ editing Consultant. It is based on the experiences of selected members of the Pohnpei State Expert Team (SET) and lead consultant of Pohnpei’s Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), conducted between 2018 and 2020 through the FSM R2R Project.
